Asking about jobs
There are three ways to ask about jobs in Vietnamese:
1. S + làm gì?
2. S + làm nghề gì?
3. S + làm công việc gì?
Example
What is your job?
What does your sister do?
What job does John do?
Talking about your job
S + làm + job
(Subject) work as ...
S + là + job
(Subject) am/is/are ...
Example
I'm an engineer.
My sister is a teacher.
John is a journalist.
Where do you work?
To ask about work place, we can use these options:
1. S + làm ở đâu?
2. S + làm việc ở đâu?
3. S + đi làm ở đâu?
To answer, replace đâu with your workplace:
1. S + làm ở ...
2. S + làm việc ở ...
3. S + đi làm ở ...

Where do you work?
I work at company A.
How long have you worked there?
We can use bao lâu (how long) or lâu chưa.
Example
How long have you worked here?
Have you worked here for a long time?
Example
How long have you worked here?
I've worked here for two years.
